Big Apple Abstract Corp. was incorporated in August 1980 and has been a title insurance agent continuously since. Big Apple takes great pride in serving the legal and real estate communities and, most importantly, our superior reputation in the title industry.

Big Apple Abstract Corp. has been fortunate to have a dedicated staff, which has worked together for periods between 15 to 40 years. All are proficient and exceptionally experienced in all aspects of the title insurance industry. Each staff member is highly qualified to answer any questions and handle all title and non-insurance title issues. Big Apple's staff has developed strong ties within the title insurance industry, as well as formed relationships with long-standing clients.

In 2012, Big Apple had the good fortune of establishing Guardian Land LLC, a division of Big Apple Abstract Corp. and successor to Guardian Land Abstract Corp., whose lineage dates back to 1929. The principals of Guardian Land Abstract Corp., Barry Wasserman, Esq., (1934-2019), and Marvin Simms, Esq., (1933-2019), would go on to continue their successful careers with Big Apple Abstract. Although Guardian Land LLC is no longer a division of Big Apple Abstract, its spirit continues to remain a part of our organization. Marvin’s wife, Julie Simms and Barry’s son Neil and daughter, Ellen are now employees of Big Apple Abstract Corp.

In 2017, Big Apple Abstract brought Vincent J. Monte, LLC as another division of Big Apple Abstract Corp. Vincent J. Monte has been a mainstay in the title industry for an excess of 40 years. Vincent J. Monte LLC is no longer a division of Big Apple Abstract, yet Vince remains with us as an employee.

In 2019, Big Apple Abstract continued to expand and joined forces with Steadfast Title Agency, which became another division of Big Apple Abstract Corp. Steadfast Title Agency led by Nikon Limberis, Esq., was formed in 2017, and quickly become recognized within the industry.

Between Lawrence M. Litwack, Esq. and Nikon Limberis, Esq., Big Apple Abstract Corp., has more than 95 years of title insurance and general real estate experience. We pride ourselves on providing expert and efficient service in all aspects of our business. We have insured matters virtually in all of New York State's counties and throughout the United States. By closing large numbers of commercial transactions, ranging from taxpayers to very large and complex transactions, Big Apple Abstract Corp. is highly qualified to provide all of your title insurance needs.
